Where to find more help
If none of the help sections help you to solve your problem, or you are receiving error messages you do not understand, you can ask in the forums, IRC, or contact us, but before you do we have some general guidelines which may help you to find an answer or to post your question in the correct section.
Make sure that you are using the latest version of Opera.
Do a search before posting. Your question may have been asked before, and an answer may already be available. Give a brief summary of the problem in the subject header of your post, to make it easier for others to find your thread and contribute.
Be specific and to the point.
Remember to include all relevant information. Describe the problem briefly, but completely. Include the full error message (if any). If you are having problem with a Web page, include the exact URL and explain what the problem is and how to reproduce it. List your operating system, system specs (CPU, RAM, etc.), and so on.
Report back to us if your problem has been solved. If the problem is solved, no matter who solved it, report the solution back to the same thread you posted the problem in! Other people will most likely benefit from this information.
Remember that there are real people behind the usernames in the forum. Treat them with respect, and you will be treated with respect.
Where to report bugs/spam/abuse
The best place to report any incidents of bugs, spam or abuse on My Opera is in the forums. We have different threads for each subject. Here's a complete list:
Personal Message spam: If you receive something that you suspect is spam in your My Opera inbox this is the place to report it. Our moderators are working hard to fight spam and we appreciate any feedback submitted by you.
Opera bugs: Encountered something you think is a bug while using the Opera browser? Then please post it here.
Forum spam: If you see a forum post which clearly is spam then click on "Report post" in the top right corner of the thread so our moderators will be notified.
Comment/blog spam: If you see a user who's posting spam in a comment or has dedicated an entire blog to it then please report it here.
Opera Link
Ever come across a cool Web site with the world's longest URL? Well, so have we. It is painful having to remember the address and having to send it to yourself by e-mail or something similar. Now you can synchronize your bookmarks between any computers or mobile phones. This feature is called Opera Link and via My Opera you can view and edit your saved bookmarks. Sign up for a free account or log in to access your bookmarks.
